No matter what reason you have for buying any rackets, make sure that the racket is suitable for your playing experience. Picking the right tennis racket will not only make you play better and get more satisfaction, you will also be able to have more control over your game.

A good maintenance practice will not only keep your wallet off from the unnecessary extra expenditure, it will also keeps your image as a person who knows how to take care of their things well intact. Being careful is also a good trace to be followed since it gives you extra credit from the people around you, and perhaps, people will look for you in case of any tennis racket breakage.

Since a tennis racket is slammed and put to the test each time you hit a speeding tennis ball, it is not impossible for your racket to break down even if it is manufactured by the best manufacturer of tennis rackets. Whatever happens on the court, especially when you lose a match, please control your anger and frustration. Never ever slam your racket to the ground, even if it clay court. It will keep your racket’s structural strength intact and not to mention the respect from your spectators.

Every racket will come in their own case or bag upon purchase. Do not throw the bag away. Instead, use the bag wisely. Since the bag is made especially for the racket, then keep and store your racket in the bag. Any impact or shock will be absorbed by the bag. Using a regulars backpack will only give your racket a short life and also affecting the performance of your racket.

When you want to store your racket for a long time, decide on a good location. Too hot and too cold will make your racket becomes brittle and unusable, hence causing you to buy a new one. Why not keep your racket in room temperature and put some desiccant in the racket’s bag to absorb extra moisture in the air? The extra moisture is bad since too much of it will cause the uncoated surface of your racket to be exposed to rusting and corrosion.

Fourth thing to remember is the pattern of the string. The strings can be ‘dense’ or ‘open’. Open pattern gives harder rebound energy to the ball, resulting in the ball being sent to the opponent in higher impact than the one hit by a dense string-patterned racket. However, the more open the pattern is, the strings are more bound to break compared to the dense string pattern.

Lastly is the handle of the rackets. Regardless your level of playing, be it beginner or professional, a good handle will help you by giving you extra strength and control of the racket. Plus, a good handle will also absorb the shock and impact from the ball when it hits the string, reducing the risk of hurting your shoulders and arms.

Since you already have all these tips above, remember to refer to them first before going to any tennis shops. Buying the correct racket for yourself will not save your wallet and time, it will also gives you more confidence and spirit to win every game that you play. No more frustration and less angst should you lose any game.

Tennis psychology is the same as understanding the workings of your opponent’s mind, and assessing the effect of your own game on his/her head and also understanding the mental effects resulting from the various external causes on your own mind.

However, it is also true that you no one can be a successful psychologist of others without first understanding his own mental processes. Therefore, you must study the effect on yourself of the same thing occurring under various circumstances. This is because you react differently in different moods and under different conditions.

You must understand the effect on your game of the resulting irritation, pleasure, confusion, or whatever other form your reaction takes. Does it increase your efficiency? If so, strive for it, but never offer it to your opponent. Does it rob you of concentration? If so, either remove the cause, or if that is not possible, try to ignore it.

Once you have accurately measured your own reaction to circumstances, observe your opponents in order to decide their characters. Similar temperaments react similarly, and you may judge men of your own sort by yourself. Other characters you must seek to compare with people whose reactions you know.

Someone who can control his/her own psychology stands an great chance of determining those of another for the minds works along definite lines of thought and can be examined. One may only regulate one’s own mental processes after examining them meticulously.

A steady, unemotional baseline player is seldom a quick thinker. If he were, he would not stay on the baseline. The physical appearance of a player is often a fairly clear indicator of his/her type of mind. The stolid, easy-going player, who normally advocates the baseline game, does it because he does not want to activate up his/her slow mind to think out a reliably safe strategy of getting to the net.

However, then there is the other type of baseline player, who would prefer to remain at the rear of the court while supervising an attack intended to disrupt up your game. He is a much more dangerous player and a deep, keen thinking antagonist. He achieves his/her results by changing his/her length and direction and worrying you with the variety of his/her game. This player is a very good psychologist.

The first sort of tennis player mentioned above simply strikes the ball without much thought about what he is really up to, while the latter always has a definite plan and sticks to it.

Sometimes called ‘Rafa,’ Rafael Nadal is a local of Spain who has made a massive impact in the world of tennis.

Born June three, 1986 in Manacor, Mallorca, Rafael Nadal is the child of Sebastian and Ana Maria Nadal. His sister, Maria Isabel, is 5 years younger than Rafael and is his only sibling.

Standing 6′1′ and weighing 178 lbs, Rafael Nadal turned into a professional tennis player in 2001 after having played since four years of age.

Under the guidance and teaching of Toni Nadal, his uncle, Rafael Nadal commenced learning to play tennis extraordinarily early in life as is evident from his early championship.

Toni, who remains Rafael’s coach, is a particularly critical part of this child’s success. In 2003, Rafael Nadal earned the ATP Newcomer of the Year award.

In 2005, he won 11 titles and also caught recognition as the ‘Most Improved Player’ for 2005 as named by the ATP.

In June 2006, Rafael Nadal won his 2nd Roland Garros crown and also scored his hundredth claycourt career victory.

That same month, Rafael Nadal turned twenty and finished his teenage years with major success. It was during these years that Rafael Nadal won sixteen career titles, which tied the record for the most titles won by a teenager.

Even though Rafael Nadal is right-handed, he plays left-handed and produces a backhand using both. As with most top sportsmen in their sport, Rafael Nadal is managed by IMG and is commonly found in Nike clothes.

Fans who would like to request a signed photograph or just send Rafael Nadal their best wishes are urged to do so in care of his pro connection.

If you are asking for an autograph, be sure to include a SASE ( self-addressed stamped envelope ) along with your request.

Popular items to have signed include blank index cards and photos. It is usually recommended that fans not send any item that they can’t afford to lose, for example cherished possessions and/or limited edition collectibles.

As with all mailed autograph requests, there is no guarantee of an answer. For this reason, many fans simply wish to request a signed photograph.

Depending on the sportsman’s schedule, autographs could be authentic, secretarial, pre-printed or even not possible to provide. Patience is the key to asking for autographs by mail, particularly when you are talking about a sports figure as popular as Rafael Nadal.

The fast, unpredictable, net-rushing tennis-player is a creature of impulse. There is no real system to his/her attack, no comprehension of your game. He will make brilliant coups at the drop of a hat, largely by instinct; but there is no, mental power of consistent thinking. It is an interesting sort of character.

The really dangerous player is the one who mixes his/her style from back to fore court at the command of an ever-alert mind. This/her is the player to study and learn from. He is a player with a definite purpose. A player who has an answer to every query you present him in your game. He is the most subtle opponent in the world of tennis. He is of the school of Brookes. Second only to him is the player of slavish determination that fixes his/her mind on one plan and adheres to it, bitterly, fiercely fighting to the end, with no thought of changing.

He is the player whose psychology is rather easy to understand, but whose mental viewpoint is difficult to upset, for he never permits himself to think of anything except the business at hand. This/her player is your Johnston or your Wilding. I respect the mental capacity of Brookes more, but I admire the tenacity of purpose of Johnston.

Pick out your type from your own mental pattern, and then plan your game along the lines best suited to you. When two men are in the same class as regards stroke, strength and equipment, the deciding factor in any game is the mental standpoint. Luck, as it is called, is usually no more than grasping the psychological value of a break in the game, and turning it to your own account. People talk a lot about the “shots we have made.” But few people realize the importance of the “shots we have missed.”

The science of missing shots is just as important as that of making them, and at times a miss by an inch is of more value than a return that is killed by your opponent. Let me explain. A player forces you far out of court with an angle-shot. You run hard to it, and getting there, drive it hard and fast down the side-line, missing it by an inch. Your opponent is shocked and put off his stride, realizing that your shot could just as well have gone in as out. He will expect you to attempt it again and he will not take the risk next time. He will try to play the ball, and may fall into error. You have thus stolen some of your opponent’s confidence, and increased his/her chance of error: all this by a miss.

If you had merely popped back that ball, and it had been killed, your opponent would have felt increasingly confident of your inability to put the ball out of his/her reach, while you would merely have been winded without result.

Let’s just say that you had succeeded with that shot down the sideline. It was an apparently impossible get. First it amounts to TWO points, because it took one away from your opponent that should have been his/her and gave you one that you should never have had. Second it also upsets your opponent, because he feels that he has lost a big opportunity.

The psychology involved in a game of tennis is very interesting, but readily understandable. Both player begin with equal chances. However, once one player has gained a real advantage, his/her confidence rises, while his/her opponent stresses, and his/her mental viewpoint becomes weaker. The only objective of the first player is to hold his/her lead, thereby maintaining his/her confidence.

If the second player draws even or pulls ahead, the inevitable reaction is an even greater contrast in psychology. There is the natural confidence of the leader, but coupled with the great stimulus of having turned a seemingly sure-fire defeat into a probable victory. The case of the other player is the reverse.
Although he has yet to win a grand slam tennis competition Andy Murray has achieved two finals 1 within the US Open in 2008 and another which was the actual Aussie open this year, each of those instances he has been overcome through Roger Federer.

Defensive counter attack is perhaps the easiest way to explain his style of game, his excellent groundstrokes, small error rate, anticipation and the uncanny capability to respond to match predicaments and switch between strike as well as defence flawlessly. Andy Murray normally enjoys to play from the actual baseline waiting for his challenger to make an error, nevertheless he is able to generate enormous pace in his ground shots making his opponents hurry their particular shots. His most effective weapon is undoubtedly his massive first serve.

Murray is at his very best upon faster playing surfaces though by working hard with his team he has improved upon his power and talent making him far better on clay. This individual has a group of fitness experts that function together with his principal trainer Miles Maclagan.

Early successes arrived on hard courts despite the fact that lots of the earlier jr coaching took place on the clay-based tennis courts of Barcelona and in fact Murray used to state that he preferred the clay-based surface.

Andy Murray is fancied to be able to win Wimbledon within his career could this year possibly be the year a Uk male again will take the most sought after of championships.

Novak Djokovic is # 2 on the planet and is also the chosen of many to hold the number one spot soon. Djokovic was born within Zvecan Srbija Serbia on 22/05/87 he also has got two young siblings that are likely to join him within the professional tennis circuit.

Beginning from four years old this individual was initially identified by Jelana Gencic the Yugoslavian tennis star who quickly announced that he was a major talent regarding the future, he of course has been proven correct because he initiated his international career at the tender age of 14. Djokovic achieved junior titles at the European Championships at singles, team and doubles.

Novak Djokovic lives inside Monte Carlo and is at this time trained by very talented American Todd Martin who many people may recall as being a highly ranked US player, Djokovic is also acknowledged regarding his impersonations of various other players both past as well as current and certainly appears to possess the natural talent for it, his version of John McEnroe will be particularly well valued and has delivered much entertainment.

Offensive baseline techniques are generally notable in his playing model; nonetheless Djokovic is an all court player with numerous formidable weapons in his armoury. Even though his backhand is usually his preferred stroke he’s consistently effective on either side of the tennis court.

His groundstrokes are excellent and count as 1 of his key strengths, along with the sometimes terrifying first service which is typically struck using great pace, very flat but with no tiny bounce. His 2nd serve is generally seriously sliced and even though it isn’t a major point scorer it is no less valuable because it often results in an offensive base line stroke. His disguised backhand drop shot features sufficient back spin to induce his opponents to rush their stroke.

Wimbledon’s tennis tournament is played out in a 2 week period in late June and early July, ending along with the ladies’ and gentlemen’s singles final, they are held on the 2nd Saturday and Sunday in that order, these are played out at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club (AELTC).

The Wimbledon tennis tournament is the oldest tennis tournament in the world and it is usually thought of as just about the most esteemed. It had been first held within 1877 and has been performed in the All England Club within Wimbledon ever since. An important part of the 4 Grand Slam tennis tournaments, Wimbledon is actually the only grand slam tournament being performed upon grass, that’s how a label lawn tennis was formed.

The fact that Wimbledon is performed on grass makes it really diverse compared to other Grand Slam tournaments and it’s also for that reason considered really tough to win, defining it as a much revered accomplishment with regard to the globe’s best competitors.

Contemplating who has won the most Wimbledon titles all round, it is a tie concerning Billie Jean King within the ’60s and ’70s, along with Martina Navratilova from the ’80s and ’90s, each of which were successful upon 20 occasions all in all counting singles and also doubles competitions individually.

In the women’s singles, Martina Navratilova is actually clearly in advance, with nine total victories a simple fact which has been attributed to her ’serve and volley’ model, which is uncommon among female players but very effective on Wimbledon’s grass courts. From the men’s singles, it is a tie among William Renshaw, who played in Wimbledon within the 19th century, along with Pete Sampras within the ’90s, with each of them winning 7 times.

Plenty of people think this is simply not precisely a fair comparability, since Renshaw ended up being the winner of a considerably smaller competition.

I expect that this initial foray of mine into the world of letters will find a place with both novices and experts in the tennis world. I am striving to interest the student of the game by a somewhat prolonged discussion of match play, which I hope will shed a new light on the game of tennis.

I will turn to the novice in my opening article and write of certain things which are second nature to the experienced tennis player. The best tennis equipment is not a lot of use for the beginner even if he really is trying to improve. Nevertheless, one has to purchase good quality; it is a saving eventually, as good quality goods far outlasts poor quality equipment.

It is important to always dress in tennis attire when playing tennis. The question of selecting a tennis racquet is a much more serious matter. I do not advocate forcing a certain make of racquet upon any player, since all the standard makes are excellent. However, it is on the weight, balance, and size of handle that the real value of a racquet frame depends, while good stringing is essential to get optimum results.

After having selected your racquet, make a firm decision to use only quality tennis balls, as a consistent bounce is a great aid to advancement, while a “dead” ball is of no use at all. If you really want to succeed at the game and progress rapidly, I strongly urge you to see all the good tennis you can. Study the play of the leading players and strive to copy their strokes. Read all the tennis instruction books you can get your hands on. They are a great help.

Much more tennis can be picked up off the tennis court in the study of theory and in watching the best players in play, than can ever be learned in one’s own actual play. I do not advise that you should miss opportunities to play tennis, far from it. Play tennis whenever possible, but try when playing to put into practice the theories you have read about or the strokes you have watched.

Do not allow yourself to become discouraged by lack of progress. The way of playing some stroke you have worked at over weeks in vain, will suddenly come to you when you least expect it. Good tennis players are the result of hard work. Very few players are born geniuses at the game. Tennis is a game that pays you interest all your life. A tennis racquet is a letter of introduction in any city.

The fellowship of tennis is universal, since none but a fit sportsman can succeed in the game for any lengthy period of time. Tennis offers relaxation, excitement, exercise, and pure enjoyment to the person who is bound hard to his job until late afternoon.

The following order of development produces the quickest and most lasting results: 1. Concentration on the game. 2. Keep the eye on the ball. 3. Foot-work and weight-control. 4. Strokes. 5. Court position. 6. Court generalship or match play. 7. Tennis psychology.

Concentration. Tennis is played primarily with the mind. The most perfect racquet technique invented will not be enough if the directing mind is erring. There are many causes of a distracted mind in a tennis match. The main one is loss of interest in the game. No one should play tennis with any expectation of real success unless he cares enough about the game to be willing to do the practice necessary to learn the game properly.

Pack it in immediately unless you are willing to work very hard. The weather, conditions of play or the noises in the gallery usually confuse even experienced match-players playing in new surroundings. Total concentration on the game is the only remedy for a wandering mind, and the quicker that lesson is learned the quicker the improvement of the player.

The best way to keep a match in focus is to go for every set, every game in the set, every point in the game and, eventually, every shot in the point. A set is merely a collection of made and missed shots, and the man who misses the least is the ultimate winner.

If you are a beginner tennis player or want to know more about <noindex>tennis psychology</noindex>, just go to our site called <noindex>Tennis Tips for Beginners</noindex>

The Australian Tennis Open is conducted in every January at the Melbourne Tennis Stadium, which contains the Rod Laver Arena and Vodafone Arena now known as Hisense Arena. The Australian open tennis tournament is one of the four major grand slam tennis tournaments, the other three being the French Open in Paris, the Wimbledon in London and the US Open in New York. However, the Australian open tennis is considered one of the toughest due to the hot weather existing in Melbourne in January. Further, it is considered the first Grand Slam Tennis Tournament of the year, since it is conducted in January. The temperatures will often reach 40o and potentially the heat will be a few degrees higher than that. To help reduce the often crippling impact of the heat on players the Australian open tennis tournament organisers installed retractable roof systems over the playing areas that could be shut if the heat is extreme or if rain occurs. An Australian, Rod Laver, is the only person that had won all the four Grand Slam Tennis Tournaments in one year, twice so far in the world.

An Australian, Rod Laver, is the only person that had won all the four Grand Slam Tennis Tournaments in one year, twice so far in the world.

As would be expected during a tournament at this level, competition during the Australian Tennis Open is extreme and the atmosphere on court and within the stadium is electric. The tournament runs for two weeks. The women’s finals are played on the final Saturday in the second week and the men’s final is played on the Sunday of the second week. Men’s doubles, women’s doubles, mixed doubles and juniors are played with as much competition as the head line matches. Matches are broadcast around the world by various networks and watched by many millions of viewers all looking for a glimpse of their favourite male and female tennis players competing in the Australian Tennis Open.

Attracting visitors and tennis lovers from all over Australia and from around the world to Melbourne each January, the Australian Tennis Open is the main international tourism event and attraction in Australia during this period. The two weeks of the tennis open is full of entertainment in and around the Melbourne Park complex with roving entertainers, concerts, markets and food all making this one of the great sporting events on the Melbourne international calendar.

Along with tickets for the Australian Open, people staying in Melbourne for the tennis can also buy concert tickets for the premium park shows and enjoy the varied entertainment and attractions that combine with the great tennis to make this a spectacular two weeks of entertainment. Players that competed during 2009 included Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, the Williams sisters, Dina Safina and many leading players on the world tennis tour. For the 2009 Australian Tennis Open most of the main tickets sold out in advance with average prices ranging from $19 and $174.

For the 2010 Australian Tennis Open the main matches will be played at Rod Laver Arena and ticket prices range from $55 up to $290 for the finals. Ticket prices for matches on Hisense arena start at $50. Tickets prices go up as the tournament progresses with quarter finals, semi-finals and the men’s and women’s finals all at premium prices. The Australian Tennis Open 2010 will be planned from January 18 to January 31 at the Melbourne Park in Melbourne Australia. The total seating capacity of Melbourne Park is around 15,000.
